  1. Hello. I saw your query in North Irish Roots Journal and am replying as I have an interest in Lee family from Tobermore as James Lee who died on 25 September 1912 was married on 12 October 1880 in Magherafelt Registars Office to Margaret Boyd (father WIlliam Boyd) who was a sister of 2 of my great grandmothers. They were both age 23 and from Moneyguiggy. Parish of Ballinascreen. James gave his fathers name as James McGlade.
All the headstone inscriptions you have listed for Killelagh Church of Ireland (except possibly headstones for Linda Lee and Maude Lee who I don’t have no record of or could find on-line) are in Kilcronaghan Church of Ireland, Tobermore.
2 of James’s sons, William and James were both killed in action on 1 July 1916 at the Battle of the Somme.
Also when I look at your transcriptions for Magherafelt Poor Law Union I believe that James, son of Esther Lee is the James that married Margaret Boyd. His age would be correct and I have thoroughly searched and can find no no other feasible James.
I found you website very interesting and useful.
Could I ask what is your connection to the Lee. etc name?

  2. Hello, wondering if you have any info on my husbands’ family Andrew Lee born 1815 Clooney Kilcronaghan Ireland. we do not know anything about his family. He immigrated to Canada 1833
