The LEES families from Co. Tyrone can almost exclusively be traced back to the Cookstown registration district in the East of the county encompassing the parishes of Arboe, Artrea, Ballinderry, Ballyclog, Derryloran, Desertcreat, Donaghenry, Kildress, Lissan, Pomeroy and Tamlaght. Some of these parishes also had parts in Co. Londonderry.
I have divided families by the parish where I’ve found the earliest trace of them. It may well be that some of these families are related.
